Dedication Article Index

Exercise is excellent for you. Your body will learn to love it, but it will not love it right away and it will not love it the day after you exercise. If you push yourself, you will be uncomfortable. Your muscles will burn, your heart rate will elevate, your breathing will get quicker that means you are working. It won’t feel great the first or second time, and if you're at home working out by yourself, remember to take it easy on your body. It is doing something completely different. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else.

The next day you will be sore, it is part of the process of building and toning your muscle. The second day, you will probably be more sore. It happens. Don’t get discouraged and don’t quit, and definitely do not just lay around if you are sore. Don’t go full out, but do some walking and stretching and keep working out and you’ll get through it faster.

Make sure that you find something that you like at least a little. This doesn’t mean it should feel easy or good the first time, but maybe it is mentally challenging or a good physical challenge. You need to find something that you can keep going back to. We encourage to visit this page often to learn more about the benefits of maintaining a healthy body and mind!
